I had a cuppa and a catch up recently with a pal of mine, Emma. We spoke of all sorts of things.
I think many ladies can relate to times when you just want to sit in the corner with a duvet. I've been there, it's an easy place to get to and hard to get out of. You get there by bosses who are arseholes and can't manage people. Boyfriends who are violent - emotionally or physically and you can't see it because you are all loved up. Add to this the delights of menopause and you can end up in a dark place. Full of anxiety and self doubt. We shut off from everyone and spiral down. It's a bummer but sometimes a cuppa in a safe place with another girlie who gets where your mind is at and can offer an ear, ideas, support, can help.
You aren't alone, you ain't the first or the last. That doesn't help your hurt but it means there is help out there.
So, we thought why not get together over a cuppa? Say Cafe Nero, Abergavenny? Somewhere more private?
It won't be a club or a bitch festival. Just a bunch of women who want to talk.
What do you think?
